For the second year running, Breyer UK sponsored the Horse Care and Knowledge class, and expanded their sponsorship in 2008 to cover the Arts and Crafts class as well. In return, Breyer staff were asked to join the judging panel for the Arts and Crafts class. We were very impressed by the high standard of the entries!
A new development for the 2008 Championships was the introduction of a Sponsors’ Village, an area where sponsors such as Breyer set up trade stands to offer merchandise and activities to entrants and spectators. Breyer offered a selection of Breyer merchandise and other horse-related giftware for sale in partnership with one of our retailers, Equishop. Equishop kindly agreed to donate a proportion of all sales made at the Championships to the RDA.
Breyer staff were kept busy running model horse painting sessions and other craft activities from the “Breyer marquee. A small fee was charged for every model painted and all proceeds have been donated to the RDA. Goodies such as Breyer badges, pens, pencils and balloons were on offer for everyone who took part.
The RDA National Championships take place in July every year at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire.
